Richmond, VA – The National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) recently honored Luck Stone at its annual convention in San Francisco, Ca., as a 2006 About Face recipient. Luck Stone’s Spotsylvania crushed stone operation (plant) was recognized for its outstanding efforts centered around the enhancement of plant appearance and erosion control. Additionally, the 2006 About Face program also recognized aggregate producers that have made vast improvements in the reclamation realm.

Jamey Epps, manager of Luck Stone’s Spotsylvania plant, said “We’re honored and proud to have received NSSGA’s About Face award. Winning the award is a testament to the hard work and dedication, around plant beautification, which was demonstrated by all of our Spotsylvania plant associates.” Tim Light, Luck Stone’s Central Region Operations Manager for the Construction Aggregate Division, added “At Luck Stone we have strict standards for our plant appearances and all of our associates strive daily to meet and exceed those standards.”

NSSGA President and CEO Joy Wilson said, “The 2006 entries were impressive.” “We are delighted to see the pride and sense of accomplishment our members have in the appearance of their facilities and adjacent properties. They invest in extra time and work to make their operations an aesthetically appealing extension of their communities through their beautification efforts.”
